What motivates you to succeed in your schooling? I am motivated by the benefits of a great education and wish to do well in school so that I may get my dream job and provide for myself and my family, the way I see my parents do for me, my siblings and relatives back in my home country.

What goals do you wish to achieve for the remainder of your secondary schooling? For the remainder of my secondary education I wish to achieve great scores in my studies so that I may enter my preferred work industry. I hope to learn, understand and retain the knowledge taught to me in future by the teachers of this school.

What are the keys to being a successful learner? The keys to being a successful learner are curiosity, persistence, self-discipline and diligence. One must always be eager to discover new things and keep going if they turn out to be challenging. They must be able to restrain from procrastination, determined to learn more. One must also always be able to ask for help from teachers, siblings, friends or parents.

What career pathway do you hope for yourself? I hope to continue my education into the medical field but am still deciding where.

What motivates you to succeed in your schooling? The desire to break free from the systemic poverty I’ve grown up in and to help those who go through hardships such as poverty and illness like I have.

What goals do you wish to achieve for the remainder of your secondary schooling? I am aiming towards fluency in Japanese  as well as a higher level of knowledge in biology and chemistry in order to achieve a particular scholarship I’ve been eyeing off.

What are the keys to being a successful learner? Although I would not consider myself to be a successful student, particularly during the remote schooling phases; I believe the most important key to success is motivation. Without motivation there is no desire to learn.  Without motivation I never would be where I am today, whether it was the need to ensure my parent’s sacrifice was worth it, or the need to give back to society.

What career pathway do you hope for yourself? According to my plan, I would like to study Biology and Japanese in Tokyo and work to develop cures for neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimers or Parkinsons as well as vaccines for tropical diseases that kill thousands in rural and poor areas of the world.
