Congratulations to Sandeepa Andra Hennadige who is our College DUX for 2019.
Receiving a score of 92.05, which is above what he had hoped for, sets him in good stead to gain a position in a Computer and Software Systems Degree. He hopes to ultimately succeed as an Artificial Intelligence Engineer.
Sandeepa was most surprised by his English results as he had expected that this would be his least successful study score. His achievements in Japanese are a testament to his hard work and the dedication of his teachers throughout his years at St Peter’s College.
He has been a dedicated member of the College Chess team, ‘Knights of St. Peter’s’ since Year 8. He took out the individual title of best College chess player in 2017. He represented St. Peter’s College Chess at SIS, state and national tournaments. Our Chess Team Coordinator describes him as an integral member of the team who was a courteous, intelligent and strategic player.
Sandeepa’s words for students who follow in his steps are: “don’t do this without a purpose or goal – this will help you to achieve.”
Sandeepa will be invited to return to the College to address our students at our start of school year Academic Opening Assembly.
Once again Congratulations Sandeepa.
