St Peter’s College VCE Study Hub was introduced in 2015 to support students in developing efficient and effective study habits. Study Hub takes place each Tuesday afternoon from 3.30 – 4.30 pm for our Cranbourne Campus and Wednesday afternoon from 3.30 – 4.30 pm for our Clyde North Campus.
An area of the Terry Feely Learning Centre at our Cranbourne Campus and in our Discovery Centre at our Clyde North Campus are set aside for Year 11 and 12 students who wish to gain support in study methods, receive assistance with draft papers or simply discuss upcoming SAC preparation techniques.
Teaching Staff are rostered on to supervise so that over the term a range of specialist teachers can be accessed by students.
The area is usually reserved for quiet study but staff and students also use the adjacent Seminar Room to discuss ideas and clarify thinking.
All Year 11 and 12 students are encouraged to utilise this resource each week.
This environment provides extension opportunities for our more academic students and those who wish to improve on their past study skills and results.
During these after school sessions, students develop study and exam techniques for each of their subjects, they refine their higher order thinking skills, collaborate ideas and assess one another’s work.
We invite St. Peter’s College past students back to the College to share their success stories and inspire our Year 12 Students to strive for excellence.
This environment aims to support and enhance our VCE Students commitment and engagement with their studies.
