This exciting new school facility will meet the growing demand for Catholic Secondary education in the Parishes of St. Agatha’s Cranbourne and St. Thomas the Apostle in the District of Clyde.
The new campus has developed into a Year 7-12 school by 2018 with a student population of approximately 750 students, building to 1,000+ students in the coming years.
Features of the new campus will include state of the art facilities in the areas of science, technology, visual arts, performing arts and physical education all underpinned by the use of Information technology. Classroom design will incorporate flexible learning spaces to allow for a variety of teaching and learning styles that will enhance the ability of our students to acquire the knowledge, understanding, skills and confidence required to meet the challenges and opportunities of the 21st century.
The curriculum will reflect the rich traditions of Catholic Education with a focus on the belief in the dignity of the human person created in the image of God, therefore its focus will be on educating the whole person – nurturing students spiritual relationship with Jesus as well as their academic, intellectual, physical and social needs.
“It is a wonderful opportunity for St. Peter’s College to build on its fine reputation in the Cranbourne and adjoining community through the completion of modern state of the art educational facility. This allows us to extend to an even greater number of families the invitation of an education for their children which is centred in Christ, always encouraging them to value effort and strive for excellence so that they are challenged to be the best they can be.”
