St Peter’s College Celebrates 20 Years Throughout 2014


 St Peter’s College “Celebrating 20 Years throughout 2014”

Staff and students from current years and others from across St Peter’s rich history will gather next Friday Night to celebrate ‘20 Years of Catholic Secondary Education in Cranbourne’.
Seven current staff members, will be honoured for their outstanding ‘20 Years of Service’ to St Peter’s College, a wonderful achievement.

On Friday night June 20th, over 250 guests will gather in the College Multipurpose Hall for a dinner to celebrate the 20 Years history of the College.

Invited guests include, all past Student College Captains, Chairperson of the College Board, Local Victoria Member of Parliament Mr Jude Perera, City of Casey Mayor Parish Priest Fr Denis O’Bryan and the Director of Catholic Education Office from the Diocese of Sale, Mrs Maria Kirkwood.

Mr Tim Hogan, Principal tells us “An immense amount of planning and work has been undertaken at the College this year to bring this event together and we are all looking forward to a wonderful evening”.

He goes on to say “In past years we have honoured those staff that have completed 10 years of Service, and we will again this year, but we are very excited to be able to honour seven of those founding members of St Peter’s College staff, who after 20 years are still delivering dedicated service to St Peter’s College students and staff and families:Mrs Kerrie Birrell, Mr Kevin Cooper, Mrs Patricia Ellis, Mr Patrick Grant, Mrs Catherine Heijden, and Mrs Robyn Young”. “A wonderful achievement”

“St Peter’s College has a rich and successful history, and there are many who have contributed to this, our past students and staff at the forefront of the day to day activities that has seen St Peter’s College become an integral part of Cranbourne and surrounding areas development of our young adults, many of which have gone on to achieve great things in their chosen fields of endeavour”.

Other activities planned to celebrate the 20 years of Catholic Secondary Education at St Peter’s College include, a full days student based activities to on Saint Peter’s Feast Day, Tuesday 24th June, Commemorative Pin being presented to all current Students and Staff commissioned by the College Parents & Friends Association.

Later in the year a 21 days Pilgrimage, lead by Parish Priest, Fr Denis O’Bryan and St Peter’s College Assisi House Leader, Mr Roger Hampson for twenty six current students, staff, past College Board Members, parents and community members, which will include a visit to Rome and the Vatican, time in Assisi, where a traditional Peace Walk will be undertaken between Perugia and Assisi and then a walking pilgrimage on the Camino Santiago de Compostela in northern Spain.

One of the highlights of the Rome visit will be a St Peter’s College 20th Celebratory Anniversary Mass and Dinner for all of the travelling party at Domas Australia in Rome.
